La Nature

The lion powerfully runs its prey,
The small lamb found to be astray,
An hibiscus vivified by radiant ray,
An elephant child in constant play.

Oak trees tell stories of squirrels,
Cocks vie regularly in quarrels,
On terrain, tigers test their mettle,
Crocodiles stare in lethal battle.

A honey bee pollinates a flower,
An ant with family builds a tower,
Rain is gorging a drying clover,
The monkey an intelligent plotter.

Water drips in the forest lynx,
The sun batters hyena cliques,
The wind on a worm that shrinks,
Milk on stomach of cat that licks.

The natural meets the communal.
Disease besets a stage terminal.
The cruel life causes the brutal.
Harshness exists without scruple.
